Happy 2013 worship revolutionaries!
We began the year by locking ourselves out of the bedroom in Ling’s cousin’s house (while the cousin was away in the UK). All our phones, wallets and keys were in the room.
We were virtually prisoners in a nice little apartment with a roof top jacuzzi. But that’s beside the point.
Mild panic began to set in.
Thanks to Ling’s and her family’s resourcefulness, we finally unlocked the door.
Bad start to the year?
As they say here in Singapore, ne’er mine (never mind).
Lamentations 3:22-23 says:
Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.
So we press the reset button. And start again. The stuff in the last year or the last hour may not have been awesome, but God is always doing something new. His mercies are new. His grace and enablement are new. His anointing is fresh. Overarching all is his love and faithfulness, his faithfulness to His word, his promises, his character.
So let’s start again. Happy new year and may 2013 be your best year yet!
