Worship Through the Tabernacle is a Biblical study of the structure and furnishings of the Tabernacle of Moses.
The Modern Praise and Worship Movement has long associated the manifest presence of God with musical worship and liturgy. The theology of the Movement began with the anchor thought from Psalm 22:3 – that God inhabits the praises of His people.
But is it orthodoxy to think of an omnipresent God being everywhere and yet at the same time dwelling in a particular location and set of circumstances?
In this exploration of worship protocol in the Old Testament, we will look at how Christ is ultimately revealed in and through the Tabernacle of Moses and its implications for our personal and corporate worship life.
Course Objectives
- To gain a Biblical knowledge of the Tabernacle of Moses and how it informs both our personal and corporate worship responses.
- To appreciate the revelation of Christ and the Gospel through Tabernacle typology.
- To see how New Testament and modern Church worship practices and liturgy are grounded in the Tabernacle of Moses.
- To appreciate God’s plan for worship as it evolves through Biblical and prophetic history.
- To gain a deeper understanding of God’s Word.
