It’s been about 3 weeks since we launched the song “Dwelling Place” for use in our Sunday services at Faith Community Church.
Over that time, we’ve let the song evolve a bit.
This version was recorded live during the second service on 1 June 2025, with Lester Sim leading.
The team introduced a chord variation in the verses which was actually a nod to the original chord structure when the song was originally presented to the songwriter’s group. But it was eventually taken out because it was thought to be too old school. But now, I think it works better because it gives the last line of the verse a little lift.
