The simply-titled “Psalm 84” by Lester Sim is the last of the three songs recently recorded by our songwriting group.
When I challenged the group last year to write a song, both Lester and I sensed that there was a stirring in the collective heart of our church for more of God’s presence. Against the broader backdrop of contemporary worship songs being structurally and lyrically complex, Lester decided to write something simple and congregation-friendly. Just 4 lines for the verse, 4 lines for the chorus and a short bridge. All the while, the song is a cry for more of God’s presence.
I hope you are drawn to experience God’s presence afresh as you listen and worship to this song.
